SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME – JANUARY 17, 2021
We have found the Messiah: Jesus Christ, who brings us truth and grace. – John 1:41

We are collecting MEN’S gently used WARM, WINTER COATS AND JACKETS for our friends at Mustard Seed in Worcester.
There are blue barrels at the entrance to each church, and at the ramp to Deacon Hall in Harvard. You may put your coat or jacket there.
We will continue this coat drive through the month of January.
THE NEED IS FOR MEN’S WARM COATS & JACKETS ONLY!!!!

Bishop McManus is inviting you to a special ZOOM call on Tues., Jan. 19 at 10 AM. He will provide an update on our Legacy of Hope Campaign and the positive impact it is having, especially for our parishes throughout the diocese. If you are interested in joining him and wish to register, follow the directions in the Flocknote sent out earlier this week.

Can you help as a Greeter/Usher at our weekend Masses?
If you would like to help with this ministry, please respond to this Flocknote or call Kathy at the parish office for details 978-456-3563.

The Salmon Run makes its first delivery (photo attached).
Here is the recipe that started this campaign. Try it. It is fast, delicious, and nutritious!
Salmon Burgers—makes enough for 4-5 good-sized patties or 8 small ones
1 --14 ¾ oz can red salmon         1 Cup breadcrumbs             1/2 Cup chopped onion        3 Tbs mayonnaise
2 eggs beaten          2 tsp lemon juice         ¼ tsp garlic salt or 1 clove of garlic pressed    1 Tbs (or more) chopped parsley
Shape into 4-5 large or 8 small burgers, dredge in cornmeal or flour, and saute in 1-2 Tbs of oil until brown and heated through—3-4 minutes on a side.
On Wednesday Jan. 6 we made our first delivery of 240 meals of canned salmon to WHEAT (from our goal of 400), to their great delight and appreciation!  It came with bright orange half-sheets of the above recipe in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Because the recipe is designed for a family, we counted three small cans of salmon as one meal. It is easier for us and for WHEAT to handle the larger cans (and it may be less expensive for you) than multiple small ones and so we would like to encourage our generous “fisher-folk” to donate the 14 ¾ oz cans. WHEAT now shares monthly groceries for up to 400 families/month, and serves 275-300 lunches and dinners a day M-F. They are looking for volunteer groups of 5 people to prepare and serve those meals with pandemic protocols.
